Benji Rolls One, Then Rolls Out a Hit.

While most rappers fight for the spotlight with hyperactive drops and chaotic branding, Benji is on his own wave. Slow-burning, mellow, and deeply vibey, his approach feels like a deep breath in an industry gasping for authenticity.

His latest single, "Wagyu" isn't just another weed anthem- its a fully saturated soundscape that glides across your eardrums like smoke drifting lazily through the room. The beat is smooth, the hook is hypnotic, and Benji's vocals? Warm, relaxed, and rich like a late afternoon blunt on the beach.

Before recording, Benji takes a moment to relax in the softly lit studio lounge, seated on a leather couch amidst creative artwork.

The Sound - Saturated, Chill, and Unapologetically Stoned.

What sets Benji apart isn't just the fact that he smokes while recording- it's how the smoke becomes part of the music. His vocals bleed through the beat like THC into the bloodstream: slow, steady, euphoric. Every verse sounds like it was freestyled mid-exhale, but lands with the precision of someone who knows what he's doing.

On "WAGYU", his delivery floats between sleepy-eyed swagger and zoned-in focus. The beat is minimal, all warmth and bounce, leaving room for his voice to melt through your headphones.

The Slow Rise of Benji.

In a scene overcrowded with overstimulation, Benji proves you don't have to scream to be heard. His music is for the early risers who light one before breakfast, for the backyard kickbacks, for the hazy late-night drives.

He's not rushing. He's not chasing trends. He's building a catalog that's rich, real, and re-playable. And if "WAGYU" is any indication, Benji isn't just blowing smoke- he's burning down the idea that chill can't still go hard.

So light one up. Press play. Let it ride. Benji's already three steps ahead- somewhere in the haze, laying down the next one.

Q&A: Benji talks Wagyu

If you could dedicate this song to one person, place, or moment from your life, who or what would it be?

“This song is on a more mellow vibe to cool out n ride or smoke to. The vibes take me back to when I was younger posted up in the trap serving bags of gas slappin some Curren$y or Wiz’s Kush & OJ.”

Favorite bar from the song?

“I ain’t smoking spray pack, nigga fuck your promo” cuz we know there’s an epidemic of doo doo lows getting sold as premium za.”

Why do you still continue to work with joey for the past 6+ years? or whyd you choose denial records for this song?

”Quality and workflow. My recording style is sporadic since I don’t write and Joey has been the only engineer fast enough to not only record the vocals but pinpoint the sound that I’m looking for.”

What can we expect from you for the next month, months, years…?

”In the next few months I’ll be dropping more singles and videos. At the end of the year I’ll drop a project.”
